David Ceccon
David Ceccon develops
his work through different languages, such as printmaking, painting, ceramics, objects and photography. It also uses cyberspace and social networks as a source of artistic creation and experimentation. In his poetics, he is interested in the ambiguities of human relationships and in the mechanisms of construction, fragmentation and dissolution of identities - and subjects - in contemporary society.
Using concepts such as difference, post-identity, self-representation, reproducibility, autobiography and self-fiction, it explores the ways in which we perform our existences on the world and moves through issues that touch the biological, the cultural, the fictional, the real and the virtual.
He was awarded an artistic residency in La Rochelle / France for the 2nd French Alliance of Contemporary Art Award (2018). He also received the IEAVI Award (2015) and the Azorean Award from the Municipal Secretary of Culture of Porto Alegre in the categories Artist Revelation and Highlight in Printmaking (2016).
